Brett Eric Henrikson

As a photographer I love being present and in the moment in with couples. When I’m shooting I bring a calm, warm and supportive presence with me throughout the day. I strive to uncover the beauty beyond the big kiss, I love finding the perfect moments between people where love, joy and gratitude can be expressed by a gesture, a look, or a hug. As the main photographer I’m always thinking about the next perfect moment before it happens and I’m fully responsible for the editing. My image style is charged with emotion, beauty and timelessness. I strive to make images that become family heirlooms, images that can be passed down for generations.

When I’m not behind the camera you can find me hiking along the Hudson & spending whole afternoons in museums.

I almost always have a smile on my face. As a photographer, I believe the tiniest of details are just as important as the largest moments. I pay attention to the people around me and strive to capture the essence of each person -- especially the shy ones! I come from a big, crazy, family and can navigate the difficulties of bringing new families together with ease. When I am not behind the camera you can usually find me eating too many tacos, hiking, or frankly just doting on my perfect little rescue dingo. I live with my fiance in Brooklyn and dream of moving upstate everyday.

I’m incredibly positive and passionate about weddings. I love spending time with the bride and bridesmaids through out the day and during the ceremony. I shine when it comes to group portraits and the small details shots that show all the beautiful effort and moments that go into a wedding .What motivates me is capturing the positive interactions of people.  Happiness is addicting and I like to capture it in its most pure form. I moved to New York from Chicago for grad school and fell in love with the city and the art that it has to offer. When I’m not behind the camera you can find me cooking amazing meals and relaxing at home with my hubby.
